**Description:** The Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support \(SEOSS\) organization supporting the COOLR program is in need of a Systems Engineer with networking experience to perform technical planning, network architecture, configuration of Cisco network equipment and cryptographic devices \(TACLANE\), implementation and integration, sustainment, cost and risk analysis, and obsolescence for satellite telemetry systems, video\-teleconferencing solutions, and other collaboration applications on a classified network\.
As a Systems Engineer in this position, you will:
• Architect and Maintain IP Networks
• Engineer and generate technical solutions
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, system
requirements, and work plans
• Configure and upgrade Cisco network switches and routers
• Configure and upgrade Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Systems
• Configure TACLANE cryptographic devices \(KG\-175F and KG\-175X\)
• Configure and troubleshoot network routes \(e\.g\.; Static, EIGRP, VPN\)
• Troubleshoot and resolve Wide Area Networks \(WAN\)
• Troubleshoot and resolve Local Area Networks \(LAN\)
• Configure and troubleshoot port\-channels, VLANs
• Backup device configurations and restore as needed
• Open support tickets with Cisco as needed
• Occasionally support adjusted work hours/schedules based upon Program needs \(<10%\)
• Occasionally travel to remote sites \(<10%\)
• Rackmount network equipment
• Run underfloor and above\-ceiling fiber optic cables
• Support Ad hoc tasking by Program Technical Leaders
• Work individually and in a team environment
• Maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Assist with other projects to include Cisco Video\-Teleconferencing \(CUCM/CMS\), Telemetry systems, VMware virtual infrastructure, Windows / RHEL environments, and more\.
Basic Qualifications:
• Current CompTIA Security\+ certification
• CCNA Certification
• Experience with routing protocols and networking technologies \(e\.g\.; static, EIGRP, VPN, GRE, VLANs, Trunks, Port\-Channels, Access Control Lists\)
Desired Skills:
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience with supporting a multi\-site architecture and remote troubleshooting capabilities\.
• Experience with Cisco ISE
• Network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, SolarWinds or similar tools\.
• On the job experience with Cisco switching, routing, TACLANE equipment
• Experience with configuring Peer and Local Static Routes on TACLANE encryptors
• Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as STIG/RMF compliance and applying these concepts to deployed equipment\.
• Experience with DoD DISA and CEG circuits, and Wide Area Networks \(WAN\)\.
• Experience with Cisco Next Generation Firepower Threat Defense System and the Management Console, and applying policies and SNORT rules\.
• Documentation of existing and new network architectures using Visio
• Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling, and terminations\.
• Confident in OSI model, IP addressing and subnetting
• Ability to rack\-mount equipment and run under\-floor or above\-ceiling cabling\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 \- $150,765\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\. **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\. \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\. This position is incentive plan eligible\.
