    Job Description

    * Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, and potentially chemical or manufacturing facilities.

    * Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope of work and material requirements.

    * Perform quantity takeoffs and apply appropriate labor and material rates.

    * Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of cost information.

    * Collaborate with the in-house engineering team to ensure accurate integration of design and cost data.

    * Negotiate subcontractor change orders and resolve cost-related issues.

    * Continuously research and evaluate new construction materials, methods, and technologies.

    * Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

    Skills and Requirements

    * Minimum of 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a focus on complex or technical commercial projects. Experience with chemical or manufacturing facility construction is a significant plus.

     

    o Multidisciplinary background -- MEP, process piping, civil, etc

     

    o Bottoms up estimating, conceptual estimating

     

    o $1M-400M estimate experience

    o Bluebeam and excel proficiency null
