    Job Summary and Qualifications

    **JOB TITLE** – LPN, Occupational Health

    GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

    The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) in Occupational Health coordinates and delivers high quality, employee-centered care by performing a variety of delegated patient care services. In collaboration with the RN of the Occupational Health team, the LPN/LVN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state.

     

    **SUPERVISOR** – RN, Occupational Health

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO** :

    • Collects data of a work injury event and reports the work injury to carrier

    • Assisting RN on follow-ups and management of work injuries claims

    • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment

    • Performing Urine Drug Screen for infrastructure employees in accordance to HR policy

    • Reinforces education on work injury reporting to employees

    • Serves as a resource to department leaders and contributes to the teamwork essential to ensuring quality care to employees

    • Assisting RN with annual webinar/education to leaders on work injury reporting, management and light duty program

    • Assisting RN with maintaining and updating OSHA log

    • Assisting RN and local staffing office performing N95 mask fit test

    • Assisting RN on education of performing N95 mask fit test

    • Follow up on employee COVID-19 cases as well as any other employee illnesses and provide guidance on return to work

    • Performs other duties as assigned

    **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES** – This position requires the following minimal requirements:

    + Experience using office productivity software tools like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

    • Maintains working area and equipment in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

    **EDUCATION** – Graduate of accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program

    EXPERIENCE

    • 1+ year Occupational Health experience preferred.

    • 1+ year acute care experience required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

    + This job does not require any travel.

    + Exert up to20 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs frequently.

    + Requires prolonged sitting some walking, standing, repetitive tasks/ motions and stretching.

    + Requires clarity of vision, eye-hand-foot coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.

    • Requires the perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound

    • Requires normal eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

    + Requires; dexterity to type
