Description

We are looking for a skilled Attorney with a strong background in consumer financial services and privacy law to join a company in Atlanta, Georgia. This position requires expertise in areas such as consumer lending protection, fair debt collection practices, and loan regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for navigating complex legal frameworks and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies.

• Provide legal counsel on matters related to consumer financial services, including lending regulations and data privacy.

• Advise on compliance with consumer protection laws, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices.

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to auto loans, vehicle financing, and consumer credit.

• Represent clients in disputes involving debt collection, debt settlement, and bankruptcy proceedings.

• Conduct legal research and analysis on privacy rights, privacy laws, and lending regulations.

• Manage cases involving subpoenas and ensure adherence to all applicable legal requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement privacy policies and compliance strategies.

• Stay updated on changes in consumer finance and privacy regulations to provide timely legal advice.

• Advocate for clients in litigation and regulatory matters related to consumer law.

• Ensure all legal practices align with fair lending standards and consumer protection guidelines.

Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in consumer law, privacy regulations, or related fields.

• Strong knowledge of consumer lending, debt collection, and financial services laws.

• Familiarity with privacy compliance, policies, and rights.

• Proven ability to handle cases involving auto loans and vehicle financing.

• Experience with Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices.

• Excellent legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines effectively.
