Machinist: Shoe Cell operator- Off Shift

Primary Function

Sets-up and operates all machinery within the Shoe Cell, including all fabrication and plating equipment.

Working Procedures

+ Works with a minimum supervision.

+ Must work to very close tolerances.

+ Operates two or more machines simultaneously, when possible.

+ Works from blueprints, process sheets, inspection plans, customer, company or military specifications and/or verbal instruction.

+ Improvises or adapts available equipment to produce parts to blueprint and process dimensions and specifications.

+ Keeps machines and work area clean and in good order.

+ Exercises good judgment and care in handling of all tools, gages, and parts that are in process.

+ Proficient with MP2 Datastream and TPM program.

+ Must have a good knowledge of and ability to apply shop mathematics.

+ Helps to train/instruct other employees, as required.

+ Participates in “continuous improvement” activities/efforts within the classification/department.

+ Shall be capable and shall be willing to perform all certified operator inspection requirements.

A minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in a related field to include CNC equipment and/or plating is preferred.
