    Job Title: Water Wastewater EngineerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Florida. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sustainable design, municipal systems, and delivering impactful engineering solutions.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various water utility projects including collection systems, pump stations, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water, and water distribution.

    + Prepare engineering calculations and analyze alternatives.

    + Develop design reports and construction plans adhering to local and state standards.

    + Produce construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and prepare plans and specifications.

    + Assist with permit submittals and prepare preliminary project cost estimates.

    + Evaluate project quantities and assist in reviewing the scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.

    + Monitor task budget and progress, document design changes, and maintain communications.

    + Conduct on-site inspections as necessary and prepare project status reports.

    + Aid in proposal preparation and assist Project Managers.

    + Attend various meetings including client progress, plan review, and preconstruction.

    + Manage project tasks and/or projects, participate in professional associations, and maintain excellent client relations.

    + Ensure a safe working environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Civil engineering with a focus on wastewater, stormwater, water main, and sanitary sewer systems.

    + Experience in designing pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.

    + Proficiency in hydraulic modeling using tools like WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or similar.

    + Strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation for plan production.

    + Ability to prepare technical documentation including engineering reports, construction documents, and specifications.

    + Experience in project coordination with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies.

    + EIT Certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with GIS and permitting processes.

    + Strong skills in project coordination and client relations.

    + Excellent ability to document design changes and communicate effectively.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $44.00/hr.
