Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cable Engineer to join our team as a customer-facing solution validation service engineer. The primary focus of this role is to provide support to customers by validating their solutions. The successful candidate will engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of validation engagements, particularly in the Cable segment.

Responsibilities

+ Engage with customers and stakeholders to plan and execute validation engagements.

+ Support Service Provider customers in the Cable segment to accelerate the implementation of new platforms and solutions.

+ Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.

+ Drive requirements discussions, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document results.

+ Identify key issues and gaps, and collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them.

+ Work closely with Solution Architects from Delivery and Sales teams to meet customer needs.

+ Innovate to gain efficiency and accelerate validation efforts.

+ Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Essential Skills

+ 10+ years of experience working with MSOs or related experience with cable platforms.

+ Expertise with DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification).

+ 5+ years of experience with DOCSIS.

+ Fundamental knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) principles.

+ Knowledge of IOS-XE.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Remote PHY is preferred.

+ Experience with network test tools like Ixia/KeySight is a plus.

+ Experience with testing/test with Ixia, Spirent. If not, should be able to ramp up quickly.

Work Environment

The role is based in RTP. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, validating software in the SVS lab, taking customer requirements, conducting quick testing, and showcasing results. The work environment involves configuring in a lab setting, conducting tests, and demonstrating solutions to customers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
