Maintenance Technician

Purpose
The Maintenance Department is focused on Safety and reducing or eliminating upset conditions. We work to strategically support plant goals and initiatives. Increase equipment reliability by developing and utilizing comprehensive processes such as Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs with a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Support the plant in the continued progress towards a sustainable, high-performing work system. Key areas of responsibility:
Sr. Maintenance Technician 1
* Adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations.
* Utilize JDE to generate and complete Work Orders and Pre-Task Forms
* Create new and communicate needed modifications to existing procedures such as LOTO, ESP, JHA, WI etc. when applicable.
* Daily housekeeping of maintenance department and all related areas
* Multi-Crafted skills with the ability to work well during downtime and upset conditions including after normal shift hours.
* Manage On-Call schedules and offer phone support and onsite support when needed.
* Inspections and PMs on Press related equipment, PIT\u2019s, and all auxiliary equipment
* Perform monthly audits assigned.
* Proficient in troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical systems
* Proficient in troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems
* Ability to work independently as well as with team members.
* Communicate with press personnel on daily needs!
* Communicate with management of any concerns or needs.
* A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
* Trained to operate all equipment.
* Ability to rebuild pumps, cylinders, rollers, and other unsupervised equipment.
* A certificate of an electrical program completion
* Ability to assess and improve mechanical and electrical systems for production machines and equipment.
* Coordinate maintenance assignments with minimum supervision.
* Competent in high level electrical repairs and troubleshooting including but not limited to PLC\u2019s and Drives, Solid State/Motor Controls
* Work with management in setting work priority.
* Journeyman/Master electrical license (preferred)
* Ability to interpret complex electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
* Ability to compile a material list and install a complete electrical system using conduit, cable, and terminating load side devices and control stations.
* Collaborate with contractors on special projects.
* Conduct safety orientations for contractors.
* Improves electrical and mechanical systems.
* Train new maintenance personnel
* Compile a complete material list and install a complex mechanical, air, water, hydraulic or electrical system.
* Helps with job assignments for junior techs.
* Storeroom Management
* Ability to troubleshoot and install PLC\u2019s and automated systems.
* Acting Maintenance Manager in the Manager\u2019s absence
Productivity Key Metrics:
* Safety Program / Measurable: RIR "0" / Number of Safe Days / Safety Work Orders Advanced within 24 hours.
* Quality Program / Measurable: At or below set target.
* Equipment Reliability / M/E Downtime below set Annual Goals
* PM Optimization.

Other Requirements
* Must be able to perform physical activities that require use of arms and legs, moving body, such as lifting to 50 pounds repeatedly, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials, as necessary.
* Must be able to sit, see/read a computer and telephone.
