    Job Title: Horizontal Boring Bar Mills Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled machinist to expertly set up and operate Horizontal Boring Bar Mills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following blueprints, performing set-ups and fixturing of the horizontal boring bar mills, programming CNC using Fanuc and Tosnuc controls, and possessing knowledge of X-Y-Z-W and B axis machining. Additionally, the machinist will utilize an overhead crane to handle parts ranging from 1 to 20 tons.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate Horizontal Boring Bar Mills.

    + Follow blueprints for machining processes.

    + Perform CNC programming on Fanuc and Tosnuc controls.

    + Handle parts using an overhead crane, with weights ranging from 1 to 20 tons.

    + Ensure accurate machining with knowledge of X-Y-Z-W and B axis.

    Essential Skills

    + At least one year of recent experience in setting up and operating a Horizontal Boring Bar machine.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading.

    + Strong programming capabilities and experience in setup and operations of CNC Horizontal Milling Machines.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of X-Y-Z-W and B axis machining.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Mazatrol and Mazak controls.

    + Familiarity with manual lathes and CNC lathe operations.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is part of a small team of less than 20 people, requiring independence and hard work due to custom orders. The company offers a climate-controlled, quiet, and well-lit workspace. Employees are expected to wear steel-toed or metatarsal boots, with jean pants and casual shirts being acceptable attire. Work hours are Monday to Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
