*This position is located on the island of Oahu and candidates must work in the state of Hawaii upon hire*
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Financial Analyst I (FA I):
+ Provide analytical support to FICOH underwriting departments (directly and indirectly), which will help underwriting management make informed decisions regarding profitability, growth opportunities, more effective management of agencies or internal staff/ resources.
+ Become a data expert within FICOH for acquiring, organizing, sharing, and presenting information. This includes data which is already captured by FICOH and used internally, as well as acquiring new sources of information (externally), and making sources of information more accessible for decision making.
+ Prepare periodic or ad hoc financial and operational analysis as required by Manager, Finance. Summarize the analysis and effectively communicate it to external or internal customers (e.g. TMNAS, reinsurers, or other FICOH departments) and respond to inquiries.
+ Develop enough underwriting knowledge and understanding of products and process to support product changes, new products, and process improvements to portfolio underwriting.
Financial Analyst II (FA II):
+ In addition to the responsibilities of the FA I, the FA II shall teach and coach other financial analysts or other departments who are interested in using more analytical tools in their business.
+ Develop enough underwriting knowledge and understanding of product rating in order to support the analysis of rating factors, quantify proposed rating changes, help correct any errors or irregularities in FICOH rating workbooks or programmed rating. Work closely with Corporate UW rating analysts and TMNAS pricing actuaries to effectively file rate changes and seek approvals from the State. Help respond to objections and implement approved changes in a timely manner.
+ Prepare and/or lead others in financial and operational analysis as needed for the company (at the direction of Manager, Finance).
+ Serve as Financial Analyst in support of FICOH Book Management Committee (BMC). Also support the FICOH leadership on other corporate financial projects, as needed.
Qualifications / Experience:
Financial Analyst I:
+ 4 year College Degree
+ 1+ years of financial related experience
+ Knowledge in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
+ Ability to effectively work and interact with people at all levels of an organization
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Team player with a good attitude, willing to assert initiative, able to multi-task and adhere to change
+ Independent problem solver with strong initiative
Financial Analyst II (along with above qualifications):
+ 3+ years of financial analysis experience
+ Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
+ Proficiency in using data bases created by others and manipulating data through existing software or applications
+ Basic proficiency in systems design or programming with specific skills in Excel macros and/or SQL or similar query languages/applications (Cognos)
+ Willingness and desire to learn new programming skills such as ‘R’ and Python
Qualifications Preferred:
+ Preferred degrees in Economics, Math, Finance, Business, or similar.
Salary:
$52,020 to $80,990 annually

Salary offer is based on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge , skills and experience. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
