• Creative Producer

    ESPN, Inc. (Bristol, CT)


    The Creative Strategy and Integration team is part of the Visual Storytelling division of ESPN Creative Studio and is responsible for the strategic creative vision and execution plan for Creative Studio’s portfolio of work. We also create and optimize new and innovative workflows across digital, streaming, broadcast, and marketing. The Creative Producer builds and oversees strategy and workflow for large-scale broadcast seasonal and new projects.

    Responsibilities:

    + Work with Senior Manager and Strategy stakeholders to set creative strategy and execution plan for season-long graphic identity projects.

    + Oversees in-project communication and budget tracking for vendor work.

    + Organize and run stakeholder and creative team meetings, setting each team member up for success with clear agendas, goals, and next steps.

    + Point of contact for strategy communications from Creative Producing and Production.

    + Manage changes to deliverables lists and/or project schedules.

    + Make budget decisions within limits prescribed by creative and executive leaders.

    + Conduct and organize research for projects in collaboration with creative leaders. Collect and analyze project takeaways in an accessible and user-friendly space.

    + Forecast with the Senior Staff to build an LRP.

    + Accountable for strict adherence to established department procedures.

    + Develop thorough knowledge of various network/show looks.

    + Motivate, educate, direct a team or individual Designers, Animators, Editors and others assigned to projects whether in-house, freelance or with an external production group.

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of 5 years’ broadcast producing experience.

    + Ability to run internal meetings, and some meetings with client/stakeholders.

    + Strong understanding of Microsoft based software (Word, Excel, 365).

    + Demonstrated ability to get along with diverse personalities and working styles.

    + Partnering and teamwork skills.

    + Project management skills.

    + Ability to lead creative and producing teams on large- and small-scale projects.

    + Detail and multi-task oriented, the ability to multitask and deliver consistently with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to work well within a team environment.

    + Very strong communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of ESPN distribution points, including MVPDs and SVODs.

    + Experience with project management tools, including Asana, Atlassian tools, Smartsheet, etc.

    Required Education:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent
