    Production Assembler - Process Automation

     

    Division: Process Automation Division

     

    Type: Full Time- Hourly

     

    Work Schedule: Monday- Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm.

    We have an immediate need for a Production Assembler for our Katy, TX facility. We need someone who is flexible for our Monday- Thursday Shift from 6:00am - 4:30pm. This is a great environment with the opportunity to work in a team environment.

    Job Description

    PURPOSE

    Responsible for assembling various production products from from inception to completion. Evaluates drawings or work instructions to build units to specification and assists in inspection of final product.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    + Assists in the full mechanical and electrical assembly of units, from initial setup to final completion, under supervision.

    + Interprets schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and service manuals to assemble units, ensuring products are built accurately and safely. Inspects and tests assembled components with a high level of attention to detail and quality.

    + Operates various hand and power tools including drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, crimpers, etc.

    + Operates test equipment including: DMM, power supplies, handheld equipment, meters, etc.

    + Mounts components and panel wiring, including labeling per schematic.

    + Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical and mechanical problems.

    + Adheres to ESD safety and lean manufacturing standards.

    + Maintains work area daily.

    + Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.

    + Engages professionally with both staff and the public, fostering positive interactions in all work-related communications.

    + Takes on additional responsibilities and manages special projects as assigned or directed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Education: High school diploma or GED. Associate's degree in Electronics preferred.

    + Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related experience.

    + Managerial Experience: None

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

    Hours: May require occasional evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.

     

    Travel: Travel by automobile may be required.

     

    Working Conditions: Work performed in a manufacturing and general office environment.

     

    Equipment: Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment.

     

    Lift/Stand/Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.

     

    PPE: Required footwear may be needed if visiting certain departments (warehouse, production, etc.).

     

    Mics: Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.

     

    Participation: Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
