    Position Summary

    Mine Quality Lab Tech is responsible for accurately sampling and testing gypsum in the various process centers of the quarry. -

     

    This position directly report to Production Superintendent but work closely with the Mine Engineer in charge of quality to maintain a quality database, strict adherence to sampling and testing protocol, and excellent AM and PM procedures to ensure testing reliability.

     

    This position will have direct responsibility for operating the sample crusher and pulverizer, moisture analyzer (Arizona machine), testing samples, and the documentation and organization of acquired results.- Tech is expected to understand the mine process as a whole to allow informed sampling and testing troubleshooting.

     

    **Pay:** $26.06 per hour

    **Shift:** Rotating

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    + Provide accurate quality testing of mine material output—adhering to established sampling and testing procedures

    + Maintain contact with Shift Leadership, Ore Processing Operators, and Mine Engineer to ensure communication of quality disruptions

    + Daily inspections, update logs daily and facilitate in proper communication with management and maintenance

    + Assist Ore Processing Operator with cleanup and general crusher help with quality testing demands allow

    + Assist with maintaining routine equipment calibration.

    + Maintain sample results database timely manner

    + Must be willing and able to perform housekeeping responsibilities

    + Must be self-motivated/ Communicate with other Quality Lab Techs & Ore Processing Operators

    + Complete 60 Seconds to Think, Work Permits, SMAT & EMAT audits, and Safety training

    + Maintain excellent 5S standards of Quality Connex, equipment, and surrounding area

    + Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and perform LOTO as required

    + Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds

    + Maintain safety awareness while operating around other mobile equipment

    + Team Participation in WCM events/activities

    + Be willing to help cover for vacations

    + Be accountable for Housekeeping, Safety, Quality (Customer Satisfaction), Productivity and

    + May require working in adverse weather conditions

    + Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and required shutdowns

    + Must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs

    + Be willing to operate CAT 777 and KOM 785 haul truck when RHP is not running.
