Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Assistant/Inventory Cycle Counter to support the accuracy of inventory levels across all branch locations. This role is responsible for performing regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and assisting in root cause analysis to improve inventory accuracy. This position may require travel to other Echelon branches to support cross-location inventory integrity efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in accordance with established inventory control schedules.
+ Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
+ Document count results and discrepancies accurately in the ERP system (e.g., Epicor P21).
+ Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to resolve inventory issues and maintain data integrity.
+ Assist in root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to reduce inventory variance.
+ Support physical inventory events and reconciliation processes as needed.
+ Ensure inventory is stored in the correct locations and follows established organizational methods.
+ Maintain organized and accurate inventory records in compliance with company policies and audit standards.
+ Travel to other Echelon branch locations as needed to perform inventory cycle counts and provide support.
+ Comply with all safety policies and procedures while performing inventory tasks.
+ Assist with preparing and processing shipping documentation such as packing lists, labels, and bills of lading.
+ Coordinate and schedule pickups with freight carriers and small parcel delivery services.
+ Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness before loading.
+ Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and documentation for each outbound order.
+ Enter shipment information into the ERP or shipping system (e.g., Epicor P21, FedEx, UPS).
+ Support the Shipping Manager in implementing standardized processes across locations.
+ Maintain clean and organized shipping areas, ensuring safety and workflow efficiency.
+ Perform daily audits to check shipping accuracy and report any discrepancies.
+ Collaborate with customer service and warehouse teams to resolve shipping-related issues.
+ Assist in tracking and following up on delayed or damaged shipments with carriers.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ 2+ years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations preferred.
+ Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor P21.
+ Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and travel as needed to remote locations.

+ Ability to accurately count and reconcile inventory under minimal supervision.
+ Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data reporting.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
+ This role requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying inventory items up to 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to climb ladders or reach high shelving when necessary.
+ Must be able to travel occasionally to other branch locations.
