Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to serve as a vital communication link between the Scheduling Manager, production teams, and sales department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring production schedules, gathering real-time updates from production floor staff, reviewing open orders, and alerting key stakeholders to potential issues that may impact timelines or delivery expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Circulate through the production floor to gather real-time status updates on jobs as per the production schedule.
+ Provide timely and accurate updates to the Scheduling Manager regarding progress, delays, or changes in production timelines.
+ Serve as a liaison with the sales team to communicate updates on customer orders and raise awareness of any issues that could affect delivery timelines.
+ Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to coordinate material needs—whether due to missing orders or inventory discrepancies.
+ Monitor open sales and production orders on a routine basis to identify and flag any back orders, inconsistencies, or bottlenecks.
+ Promptly escalate any potential production delays or material shortages to ensure swift resolution.
+ Maintain accurate records of daily production activity and ensure updates are reflected in relevant scheduling and tracking tools.
+ Assist the team in creating material transfer requests and updating scheduling tools with corresponding dates.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training in a related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or operations coordination role preferred.
+ Experience with production scheduling systems and ERP platforms is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
+ Keen attention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
+ Comfortable interacting across departments and levels, from production floor to management.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and scheduling tools.
+ Ability to work independently while maintaining close alignment with team goals.

+ This is an active role; however, some office work at a desk is required.
+ This job requires the ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items up to 25 lbs.
