• Electronics Technician with solder skills

    Manpower Engineering is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Technician for our Munster Indiana client. Mid-to upper-level Technician. Contract to hire opportunity. M-F, day shift _._ Military veterans are encouraged to apply.

    What you will be doing:

    Will be performing diagnostics and repair on a variety of electronic devices, primarily focusing on drives (AC/DC, Servo), as well as analog/digital input/output boards, inverters and other control devices used in industrial manufacturing by using surface mount (SMT) equipment, such as Pace rework systems as well as thru-hole soldering techniques.

    Who we are seeking

    + 2 yr. degree in Electronics Technology strongly preferred. 7-10 years’ experience acceptable, i.e. military electronics

    + Strong diagnostics skills to be able to “dive in” and get things fixed

    + AC/DC and Servo Drive, PCB component level troubleshooting experience

    + Proficient in soldering/desoldering both THT and SMT (surface mount soldering of electronic components on various types of circuit boards and electronic assemblies including double or multi‐layer electronic circuit boards). Components could include resistors, capacitors, diodes, simple integrated circuits devices such as voltage regulators and optical isolators.

    + Test equipment experience (Huntron tracker, Oscilloscope, Variac, Multi meters, Signal generators): +2 years’ experience preferred

    + Candidates who enjoy tinkering, hands-on hobbies (auto repair, etc.) are a good fit

    + Must be reliable with a good attitude and have a strong work ethic. A team player.

    + Ability to take direction and learn quickly
