Are you an experienced medical office professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for patient-centered care? Join our compassionate and fast-paced Medical Oncology team as a Medical Office Coordinator and help ensure smooth, efficient operations that support both staff and patients.
The Medical Office Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a wide range of administrative and operational tasks within the Medical Oncology practice. This role involves schedule management, patient support, and interdepartmental communication to ensure exceptional care delivery and efficient office workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in managing people and processes in a medical office setting.
Your Schedule:
+ Monday through Friday
+ Day Shift
+ 6 paid holidays
What You'll Do:
+ Assigns daily duties and adjusts staffing to meet operational needs
+ Assists with hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating staff
+ Supports conflict resolution and fosters a collaborative work environment
+ Participates in staff meetings and contributes to policy/procedure development
+ Coordinates daily provider schedules and manages calendar logistics
+ Prepares charts and documentation for appointments
+ Responds to incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency
+ Ensures accurate collection of patient information for billing
+ Maintains organized filing systems for medical and personnel records
+ Processes mail, supply requests, and reimbursement documentation
+ Assists leadership and providers with additional office duties as needed
+ Maintains documentation and records in accordance with privacy policies
+ Monitors cash handling, daily deposits, and overdue payment follow-ups
+ Oversees communication with internal departments and external providers
What We're Looking For:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in accounting/bookkeeping preferred
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting
+ Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience strongly preferred
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
+ Working knowledge of medical office operations, scheduling, and patient communication
