Description
The mission of the Idaho Industrial Commission is to fairly administer the Idaho Workers' Compensation Law.

The position is in the Boise Office in the Chinden Campus, 11321 West Chinden Blvd, Building 2.
The Idaho Industrial Commission is seeking a highly skilled individual who can work independently to fill the role of an Employer Compliance Technical Records Specialist 2.
Example of Duties:
+ Researches and analyzes complex compliance records, business documents, policy databases, and other available resources to determine compliance with the Workers Compensation Insurance Law.
+ Performs detailed analysis of Idaho business registrations, Department of Labor wage data, Secretary of State Business filings, and related employer records to conduct liability determinations for insurance coverage.
+ Evaluates business operations and processes to determine proper classification of workers.
+ Reviews business filings, wage data, and financial records to determine if workers meet codified exemption criteria.
+ Reviews and analyzes extraterritorial coverage requests to certify compliance with Idaho’s insurance requirements; verifies need for additional information and evaluates business operations to determine qualification under current reciprocal agreements.
+ Reviews and verifies coverage information to determine if policy submissions meet Idaho’s proof of coverage requirements.
+ Conducts policy cancellation audits to confirm ongoing compliance status.
+ Reviews business entity structures, tax statuses, and employer/worker relationships to certify election of exemption submissions.
+ Reviews business filings, organizing documents, and insurance coverage information to certify election of coverage submissions.
Minimum Qualifications
At least a year of experience:
+ Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors; researching a variety of sources to resolve problems.
+ Explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments.
+ Experience communicating verbally and in writing with a variety of people to effectively gather and document information.
+ Storing, entering, and retrieving data using a computerized records system
+ Using spreadsheet software
+ Retrieves and compiles information in a report format using data-based software; and
+ Uses word processing software to create and modify documents.
Desirable
+ Work independently to interpret, explain, and apply regulations, laws or complex policies
+ Analyzing complex information and researching a variety of sources to develop conclusions and resolve sensitive issues
+ Working with sensitive or restricted data
+ Communicating verbally with a variety of people to effectively gather and document information
+ Working with complex data or technical information that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and good time management skills
Good Knowledge of:
