Description We are looking for a meticulous Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Fort Collins, Colorado. In this role, you will play an integral part in managing billing processes, maintaining customer accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service within the government sector. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic work environment while utilizing your expertise in accounting and billing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy using specialized accounting software.

• Maintain up-to-date records of customer credit and accounts receivable.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to billing and account discrepancies.

• Monitor account activity and implement appropriate measures to ensure account accuracy.

• Respond to inbound customer calls while providing attentive and efficient service.

• Perform a variety of accounting tasks with a focus on computerized billing operations.

• Support ongoing improvements to billing procedures and systems to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless billing operations and customer satisfaction. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and computerized billing processes.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting principles.

• Demonstrated ability to handle customer inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

• Skilled in managing billing operations and maintaining accurate account records.

• Experience in providing excellent customer service through phone and email communication.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
