Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Babylon, New York. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in records, and supporting overall accounting operations. This position offers an opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks and other accounting systems.

• Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is properly documented.

• Handle invoice processing, including verifying, coding, and reconciling invoices.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review.

• Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries.

• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.

• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and streamline processes. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and its functionalities.

• Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and colleagues.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
