Legal Office Manager
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Full-time, On-site
About the Role:
As the Legal Office Manager, you’ll be the organizational backbone of our busy downtown Austin law office. You’ll take charge of day-to-day operations, ensuring that attorneys and staff can focus on client service while you keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
You’ll manage the administrative functions of the office, oversee support staff, and maintain compliance with legal and ethical obligations. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to juggle competing priorities will be essential to your success in this role.
What You'll Do:
+ Oversee daily office operations and workflows to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
+ Supervise administrative and support staff, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
+ Manage office budget, vendor relationships, and supplies procurement.
+ Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of attorneys and staff.
+ Handle facilities management, technology needs, and office maintenance in coordination with vendors.
+ Maintain and improve administrative systems, including case management and billing procedures.
+ Ensure compliance with state bar rules, court deadlines, and internal protocols.
+ Support the partners with operational and HR-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
What You Bring:
+ 3+ years of legal office management or law firm administrative experience.
+ Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
+ High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software (e.g., Clio, PracticePanther, or similar).
+ Familiarity with legal billing, trust accounting, and timekeeping protocols.
+ Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced legal environment.
