Survey Crew Chief

Employment Type: Consultant-to-Hire (9 months)

Pay Range: $30–$45/hour (based on experience)

Start Time:7:00 AM daily | 40+ hours/week | Very Minimal weekend work

About the Opportunity:

Join a rapidly growing engineering and surveying firm with a satellite office in Edinburgh, IN that’s making waves in commercial and industrial development—and expanding into transportation with INDOT pre-qualification. We’re looking for a Survey Crew Chief who’s ready to take the lead in the field and grow with a company that values autonomy, advancement, and professional development.

What You’ll Do:

+ Lead fieldwork for topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys

+ Execute construction layout tasks with precision

+ Interpret construction plans and perform accurate survey computations

+ Maintain detailed field notes and ensure equipment is in top condition

+ Use Trimble surveying equipment for high-quality data collection

+ Travel occasionally (up to 1 week per quarter, all expenses paid)

What We’re Looking For:

+ 2+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief

+ Proficiency in construction layout surveys (other survey types a plus)

+ Ability to pass a drug test, pre-employment check, and MVR check

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
