Job Summary:
Vanderbilt Health - Executive Search Team is conducting a national search for a Vice President of Allied Health.
The Vice President, Allied Health provides overall leadership for the Center for Programs in Allied Health for VUMC. Responsible for developing innovative workforce programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures; responsible for working collaboratively with VUMC operational units and external partners to develop workforce programs that meet VUMC organizational staffing needs; implements and manages efficient operations of allied health programs; prepares operating and capital expenditure budgets; prepares reports on operational, financial, and educational performance for VUMC leadership; and coordinates personnel administrative functions. The VP will be the primary spokesperson for allied health education at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, advocating for students/trainees to ensure their future success in the healthcare workforce, building relationships at the senior executive level across VUMC, and providing a reliable pipeline of highly qualified allied professionals for the organization.

The Center for Programs in Allied Health of Vanderbilt University Medical Center is dedicated to preparing students for excellence in their chosen career and instilling compassion and a commitment to the highest quality of patient care through transformative learning programs and access to the delivery of exemplary healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Creates and implements a strategic plan and a shared vision for allied health education at VUMC.
+ Develops long-term and short-term strategic goals and objectives that are aligned with VUMC’s strategic goals and workforce plan.
+ Collaborates with VUMC executive leadership, operational leaders and executives of the various entities within VUMC to determine service needs. Develops and implements programs and operating procedures to ensure that those needs are met and works collaboratively with the operating units.
+ Oversees the academic integrity of the clinical learning environment across all allied health programs.
+ Analyzes and evaluates ongoing workforce programs to identify areas in need of adjustments or improvements in partnership with operations leadership and human resources.
+ Collaborates internally with faculty, staff, administrators and human resources, as well as externally with education partners, to complete the variety of complex tasks necessary to maintain and grow specialized accreditation programs.
+ Monitors external market and community trends that may affect VUMC’s allied health programs. Coordinates and implements appropriate strategic responses.
Basic Qualifications
• Master’s Degree (MBA, MHA, MS, etc.)
• 10 years experience (Required)
