    The Manufacturing Manager - Production Supervision is responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring that production schedules are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

     

    In this role, you will contribute to the production of advanced jet engines, components, and integrated systems that power commercial and military aircraft.     Our facility in Bohemia, NY specializes in producing high-quality avionics, electrical power systems, and other aerospace technologies that support both commercial and military aircraft.     Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage the execution of manufacturing processes to ensure timely and efficient production.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.

    + Maintain high standards of quality by implementing and monitoring quality control processes.

    + Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products.

    + Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery

    + Develop and implement standard work procedures and best practices.

    + Utilize lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.

    + Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

    + Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and other departments to resolve production issues.

    + Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.

    + Includes direct people management responsibility of 25-30 employees including staffing and performance development.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing)

    + Plus, a minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a team within a Manufacturing environment

    + This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Knowledge of GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model and/or experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

    + Experience in the aerospace industry

    + Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices

    + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

    + Strong leadership and team management abilities

    The base pay range for this position is $100,600.00 - 134,400.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 7/28/2025.
