Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused **Class A CDL Driver** to join our team. This position involves operating a tractor trailer to shuttle materials between our two manufacturing plants located just 7 miles apart. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with short-haul driving and physically capable of loading and unloading freight as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Safely operate a Class A tractor trailer between Energizer Asheboro Plant 1 and Plant 2 (7-mile route).

+ Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

+ Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).

+ Ensure all cargo is properly secured and documented.

+ Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.

+ Communicate effectively with plant personnel.

+ Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

We we are looking for

+ Valid **Class A CDL** with a clean driving record.

+ Minimum of 2 year of commercial driving experience preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.

+ Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

+ High school diploma or equivalent
