Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join our Geostructural Design Group in our Quakertown, PA office. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical skills and gain hands-on experience by working closely with, and learning from, experienced PE's on a wide range of complex geotechnical and geostructural design projects.

We are looking for a motivated engineer who is eager to expand their design knowledge, contribute to real-world solutions, and be part of a collaborative team environment that emphasizes mentorship and professional development.

Staff Geotechnical (Geostructural) Engineer Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with senior engineers to support the design and preparation of plans for retaining walls, support of excavation systems, and other geostructural elements

+ Perform engineering calculations under the guidance of licensed PEs, including settlement analysis, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressure, and slope stability

+ Assist in the development of technical reports, design documents, and construction drawings

+ Interpret and review subsurface exploration data (borings, test pits, lab results) to support design recommendations

+ Participate in construction observation and materials testing during the installation of MSE walls, support of excavation systems, and other geotechnical structures

Staff Geotechnical Engineer Job Requirements

+ A.S. in Engineering or a related field (required); B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)

+ E.I.T. certification (preferred)

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

+ Experience with CAD and geotechnical design software (e.g., slope stability, retaining wall analysis) is a plus
