Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Help build the next generation of systems behind Meta's products.

2. Create web and/or mobile applications that reach over two billion people.

3. Build high volume servers to support content.

4. Help build highly scalable performant solutions.

5. With solutions provided by a supervisor, utilize ability to apply them to production problems and contribute to architectural decisions.

6. Employ specialty knowledge across the following areas: data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, and operating systems.

7. Utilize knowledge of data base management system software, development environment software, object oriented development software, program testing software, operating system software, and various programming languages.

8. Utilize knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, and of systems architecture and components, including networking and storage.

9. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent ) in Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related field.

10. Requires completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:

12. 2. Building large-scale infrastructure applications

13. 3. Creating web applications using Python and PHP

14. 4. Relational databases and SQL

15. 5. Implementing web interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

16. 6. Leveraging frameworks, using React

17. 7. Conducting design and code reviews

18. 8. Object-oriented software development

19. 9. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques

20. 10. Design scalable distributed systems with established partition tolerance, consistency, and availability guarantees and 11. Building complex applications for iOS based products using Swift.

Public Compensation:

$184,187/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
