Required Skills:
Software Engineer – Systems Responsibilities:
1. Research, design, develop, build and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for large distributed components that run applications.
2. Build new features and improve existing products.
3. Work on problems of diverse scope and design core, backend software components.
4. Handle large-scale data storage, synchronization and coordination of large server cluster, and provide a runtime environment for front end code.
5. Receiving little instruction on day-to-day work, code using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP and Hack.
6. Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
7. Conduct design and code reviews.
8. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
9. Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance.
10. Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase product area and/or systems.

11. Requires a Bachelor’s degree(or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field. Completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:
12. 1. Coding in C, C++, Java, or C#
13. 2. Building large-scale infrastructure applications
14. 3. Creating web applications using Python, PHP, or Ruby
15. 4. Relational databases and SQL
16. 5. Implementing web interfaces using at least one of the following: JavaScript, HTML, or CSS
17. 6. Leveraging frameworks using React or React Native
18. 7. Conducting design and code reviews
19. 8. Object-oriented software development
20. 9. Building Android applications in Java using Android SDK
21. 10. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques
22. 11. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
23. 12. Building highly-scalable performant solutions
24. 13. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
25. 14. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
26. 15. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems
27. 16. Client-server communication patterns including REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
28. 17. Mobile architecture patterns that can scale to a large number of programmers and teams in one codebase
29. 18. Building mobile and desktop web applications using JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
30. 19. Front end development of mobile and desktop applications using React, Vue, or Angular
31. 20. Debugging or benchmarking

$214,032/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
