MercyOne North Iowa is the largest provider of health care services in our region, and we are proudly the largest employer in Cerro Gordo County. Our hospital is a private, not-for-profit health care center, licensed for 346 beds, which serves more than 400,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. In addition, MercyOne North Iowa is a teaching institution. We conduct a Family Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a School of Radiologic Technology. MercyOne North Iowa is a clinical training site for approximately 500 students from 127 different colleges enrolled in programs for medical laboratory, nursing, paramedic, rehabilitation, medical assistants, pastoral services, physicians and many other medical fields.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Clinic Office Coordinator at our Forest City Clinic.
As a Clinic Office Coordinator at MercyOne, you will pProvide support in the medical field by performing various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.
+ Assures that the phone statistics are within clinic benchmarks. Seeks to continuously improve phone processes.
+ Oversees patient appointment demand and works to continuously improve access issues.
+ Oversees customer satisfaction to include patient complaint processing as it relates to the responsible area.
+ May assist in performing quarterly and annual evaluations of staff by gathering data, preparing forms, and presenting it to direct reports.
+ Utilizing lean concepts and following guiding behaviors, the Clinic Office Coordinator will lead or assist in leading daily huddles.
+ Provides payroll with accurate time and attendance transactions through Kronos. Assures compliance with time and attendance policy.
+ Ensures day to day staffing by maintaining appropriate staffing levels utilizing lean concepts which provide quality patient care.
+ Assists with interviewing and selecting qualified staff and assists in assuring employees are appropriately oriented. Continually helps to develop staff through competency assessments, in-services, and continuing education.
+ Assists in the month end process including that charges and encountered are captured. Reconciles checkbook monthly.

+ M-F days
General Requirements:
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and computer skills.
+ Typing speed of 35 words per minute (verified by testing) preferred
Education:
+ High School diploma or equivalent is required with at least 1 year experience in a healthcare setting OR, Associates Degree with leadership, coaching experience preferred.
