    Job Description

    Essential Job Duties: The Research Specialist III will focus on original research on cell lines, optimizing cell culture media, and stem-cell differentation. Analytical techniques involved in research projects include, but are not limited to, animal cell culture, culture media formulation using Design of Experiments (DOE), florescence microscopy, qPCR, and immunocyrochemistry, and routine cell characterization. This position is expected to maintain cell culture research, and support the PI with relevant administrative work.

     

    Responsibilities:-Provides research expertise.-Compiles, analyzes, interprets, and reviews data and metadata. Collects samples, performs analysis on samples, and extracts measurement data from experiments. Implements and maintains data collection and summarization of field trials.-Performs analysis and tests. Makes and records observations and scientific measurement.-Develops and maintains training materials for external users. Trains students or others in laboratory and field research and methods. Audits protocols.-May attend local, national, and international meetings.-Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Education and Experience:-Bachelor's Degree-Eight years of related experience.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    -Good communication and computer skills.-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.-Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.

     

    -Ability to exert heavy force.

     

    -Ability to work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends.
