Description
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services to clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall success of the firm. Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed accounting work papers and financial statements for clients.
• Record and post journal entries, ensuring proper classification and accuracy for each accounting period.
• Reconcile payroll reports, balance sheet accounts, and income statement items to maintain financial integrity.
• Assist in compiling and preparing client financial statements, adhering to regulatory and industry standards.
• Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, compliant, and meets required deadlines.
• Supervise and assign tasks to less experienced staff, providing guidance and quality control.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve accounting issues and provide tailored solutions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of financial activities for audit and review purposes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to deliver optimal services
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• QuickBooks Online Certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in corporate tax return preparation and general ledger management.
• Experience with journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Ability to perform balance sheet account and reconciliation tasks with precision.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage tasks and collaborate effectively.
