Description
We are working with a client who is looking for a skilled Payroll/Benefits Consultant to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to take charge of payroll processing and benefits administration while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a meticulous approach and a strong ability to communicate effectively with team members and employees. Offering a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities:
• Process semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employees using Paycor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and audit employee timesheets and payroll data to verify completeness and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain employee records by entering and updating information such as new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage laws, staying up-to-date on best practices.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees in a prompt and thorough manner.
• Manage all aspects of the company’s benefits plan, including enrollment and communication.
• Coordinate open enrollment processes, including sending updates to employees and collaborating with insurance brokers.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables and analyze payroll data for reporting purposes.
• Apply expertise in Paycor and HRIS systems to streamline payroll and benefits operations.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience processing payroll for a multi-state workforce.
• Demonstrated experience in benefits administration and facilitating open enrollment processes.
• Proficiency in Paycor or similar payroll systems is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage payroll and benefits data accurately.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including experience with pivot tables.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and multi-state payroll systems.
• Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
