Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee essential financial operations and provide support to daily office management functions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the construction and contracting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle light payroll duties, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.

• Utilize QuickBooks for financial tracking, reporting, and management.

• Assist in purchasing activities by coordinating and processing orders.

• Provide operational support to enhance efficiency in daily office activities.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.

• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve financial discrepancies.

• Support the implementation and optimization of office management processes. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and manage financial records.

• Experience with payroll processing and compliance.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.

• Operational experience is a plus for contributing to office management tasks.
