• Overnight Counselor - 12th street

    Unity House (Troy, NY)


    Unity House of Troy is currently hiring for a part-time, Overnight Counselor for its 12th street location. If you are a caring and professional human services driven person, please apply for this weekend part-time benefit eligible Friday - Sunday, 10:00 PM - 8:00AM shift!

     

    Position is eligible for a pro-rated sign on bonus.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide single staff coverage in a residential setting for people living with mental health issues.

     

    Assist individuals living at the residence as needs arrive with supportive counseling.

     

    Provide service coordination and medication supervision for program clients.

     

    Provide crisis intervention/emergency assistance for residence.

     

    Ensure satisfactory functioning of the facility.

     

    Light cleaning duties with possible light lifting.

     

    Must do evening safety routines and check lists, which include: Monthly fire drills and house inventory.

     

    Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging

    Required:

    High School Diploma or GED with 1-year previous experience with mental health issues. Must be responsible and reliable. Strong communication skills. Reliable transportation. Must be able to work as a team and individually. Must be able to work weekend rotation.
