    Job Title: Logistics Lead

    Job Description

    The Logistics Lead is responsible for managing the shipment of products to both internal and external customers while overseeing a team of dedicated employees. This role demands proficiency in forklift operation, use of power hand tools, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing transactions using computers and standard warehouse software are essential. The Logistics Lead supports daily activities and personnel within the Logistics Department, adhering to guidelines and procedures established by the Logistics Manager.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead a team of 3-5 employees and provide necessary training.

    + Receive shipments of incoming materials.

    + Load and unload trucks efficiently.

    + Select appropriate packaging materials and containers per customer requirements.

    + Route outgoing shipments through various transportation methods.

    + Complete paperwork such as customs invoices, bills of lading, barcode labels, job pick lists, and manufacturing orders.

    + Pull parts from stores and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability of lot numbers.

    + Maintain shipment history files.

    + Interface with Purchasing, Production Control, Program Management, and Scheduling to ensure timely movement of materials through the internal supply chain.

    + Support management as directed.

    + Perform part marking and over-coating using Manufacturing Order instructions, Blueprints, and Desktop Instructions.

    + Adhere to all departmental, company, and regulatory Trade Compliance guidelines.

    + Follow all safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in logistics, inventory control, and shipping and receiving.

    + Experience in order picking, driving, and general labor tasks.

    + Ability to operate a forklift and use an ERP system.

    + Knowledge of material flow and management skills.

    + Proficiency in customer service and communication.

    + Experience with rf scanners, data entry, pallet jacks, loading, and material handling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Motivated and dependable with strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to adhere to a flexible and demanding schedule.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Team player with the ability to work with internal and external customers.

    + Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and keyboarding.

    + Experience using hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, nail and staple guns.

    + Approved training in forklift operation.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
