    The Office of Purchasing is accepting applications for a Procurement Analyst 1 position. This entry level position supports and provides lower-level procurement and administrative functions for the Purchasing Department and reports to the Director.

    An Ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

    + Communicating Effectively:The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas.

    + Displaying Expertise:The ability to exhibit specialized skills or knowledge gained from experience or training.

    + Managing Resources:The ability to ensure resources such as time, money, and people are utilized appropriately to result in maximum business value.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Three years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing; OR

    Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

    A bachelor’s degree.

    EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

    Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    The Procurement Analyst will:

    + Maintain files of all qualified vendors with the university.

    + Provide all routine administrative and lower-level procurement functions such as answering routine to more complex questions regarding purchasing functions to all departments on campus.

    + Provide administrative and clerical support to the director then to the staff. Provide reception/clerical duties daily.

    + Train and supervise student employee performance. Approve and submit electronic time and attendance forms at the end of the pay period on a timely basis. Monitor student employee's mandatory training courses as required by federal and state laws have been completed prior to the deadline date.

    + Prepare and run various reports necessary for program functions using (Argos, Appworx, etc).

    + Any other task as needed or assigned by Director or Assistant Director.

    Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Thursday & 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Friday
