Job Title: Powder Coater

Job Description

Engage in routine and preventive painting tasks to ensure high-quality finishes on fabricated parts and structures. Conduct thorough inspections and cleanups, while managing the storage and disposal of paint materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare parts for painting by conducting detailed inspections and cleanups.

+ Apply powder coating to various parts and structures following established guidelines.

+ Operate spray guns, booths, and paint equipment with precision.

+ Monitor gauges to ensure optimal equipment performance and detect any defects.

+ Inspect the quality of coatings visually to maintain high standards.

+ Bake parts using an industrial oven to achieve the desired finish.

+ Handle resin coatings and pre-treatment processes effectively.

+ Load and unload parts efficiently, maintaining a smooth workflow.

+ Clean and repair painting equipment to ensure operational readiness.

+ Package coated items securely for shipment.

+ Manage powder inventory accurately to prevent shortages.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in powder coating and industrial painting.

+ Proficiency in operating painting tools, spray guns, and paint booths.

+ Ability to read blueprints and operate machinery.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

+ Skills in inspection and defect detection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to manage inventory and handle paint materials safely.

+ Experience in resin coating and pre-treatment processes.

Work Environment

Work in a super clean environment alongside two break press operators. Enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, working from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiram, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $33.60/hr.
