THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Event Coordinator (Administrative Assistant 1) to plan, organize, and execute promotional events across the Commonwealth. This role involves coordinating logistics for wine and spirits festivals, educational tastings, store openings, and more ensuring each event aligns with brand goals, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning and organization for single and multi-day events both in Fine Wine & Good Spirit stores and remote locations to promote products throughout the Commonwealth. Specific events may include wine festivals, spirits festivals, educational seminars, restaurant/food demonstrations, wine/spirits pairings, food shows, store events and grand openings, and winemaker, distiller, or celebrity bottle signings and demonstrations . This professional also manages and coordinates the in-store Consumer Tasting Program for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. We are looking for a strategic innovative thinker who possesses an enthusiasm for superior customer service.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ This position requires travel. Travel expenses will be paid.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week, and report to the Northwest Office Building 1 day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university ; or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
