    THE POSITION

The Department of Agriculture's Division of Agronomic and Regional Services is seeking a candidate for the position of Laboratory Assistant to provide support to the State Seed Laboratory.

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As a Laboratory Assistant, you will perform a variety of computer, housekeeping, and entry-level seed laboratory tasks. This includes entering seed sample and testing information into the database, performing basic seed testing duties, and properly maintaining laboratory equipment.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Temporary, Full-time employment

    + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

    + Tel ework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    + Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Additional Requirements:

    + You must be willing and able to work in Dauphin County, PA.

    + You must be willing to work a temporary, full-time schedule without benefits.

    + You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    + Experience working in a laboratory.
