**Sodexo's Campus Segment** is seeking a **Retail Manager 2** to lead the **Starbucks operation** at the **University at Albany (UAlbany)** . This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a university setting, keeps up with food and beverage trends, and excels in team development and customer experience.

As part of a larger campus dining team, you’ll manage a high-volume retail location with a dedicated staff of 20–25, helping create a welcoming and efficient café experience for students, faculty, and guests.

What You'll Do

+ Oversee daily operations of the campus Starbucks, ensuring efficiency and a high standard of service

+ Lead and develop a team of 20–25 frontline employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment

+ Manage inventory, cash handling procedures, scheduling, and labor controls

+ Maintain compliance with HACCP and all Sodexo safety and sanitation programs

+ Collaborate with university partners and Sodexo teams to align on goals and customer satisfaction

+ Stay current with coffee culture, university trends, and retail best practices to continuously enhance the customer experience

+ Meet or exceed financial targets and performance benchmarks

What You Bring

+ 2–3 years of experience in retail foodservice or hospitality management (Starbucks or coffee experience a plus)

+ Experience managing frontline staff in a high-volume setting

+ Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style

+ Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment and maintain composure under pressure

+ Knowledge of food safety standards, labor management, and customer service excellence

+ A passion for quality, teamwork, and student engagement
