    **Schedule:** Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    **Pay Rate:** $40.30/hour or Pay based on experience

    **Work Environment:** Onsite

     

    About the Role

     

    As a **Direct Buyer Specialist (Principal Specialist)** with PDS Tech Commercial, you’ll play a pivotal role in the **Naval Value Stream (NVS)** procurement group, supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. You’ll be at the forefront of sourcing and managing complex subcontracts, ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services that power innovation and national security.

    What You’ll Do

    + Lead procurement of major subcontracted and engineered items for DoD programs.

    + Manage supplier relationships and performance across the full purchase order lifecycle.

    + Prepare and issue RFPs; place and manage medium to high-complexity purchase orders.

    + Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR and corporate procurement standards.

    + Support and participate in contract negotiations (Price, Delivery, T&Cs).

    + Conduct price and cost analysis to support proposals and sourcing decisions.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Program Management.

    + Maintain accurate supplier delivery schedules and report on key KPIs.

    + Present supplier performance updates to leadership and stakeholders.

     

    What You Bring

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s and 3+ years).

    + Proven background in procurement, supply chain, finance, or related fields.

    + Strong understanding of supplier management and contract compliance.

    + **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with SAP systems.

    + Familiarity with technical hardware/service procurement and SOWs.

    + Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).

    + Experience with various contract types (Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price, etc.).

    **Pay Details:** $40.30 per hour
