    The Department of Nutrition (https://nutrition.tamu.edu/) , within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University, is actively seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual for one full-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning August 18, 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Clinical Assistant Professor depending on qualifications. The breakdown of effort for this faculty position will consist of teaching and service.

     

    Teaching Responsibilities: Teaching 2 courses of undergraduate and graduate courses in Nutrition per semester.

     

    Other responsibilities will include developing new courses related to continuing education, working with our Extension component to develop K-12 educational materials and health care professional continuing educational materials, mentoring students and providing academic guidance to enable success within the discipline. Service to the Department, College, University and the general public as part of the ongoing mission of a Land Grant Institution; including other duties as assigned. Service efforts may include serving on Department, College or University committees or serving in leadership positions of professional organizations.

    Qualifications

    Required qualifications:

    - Registered Dietitian

     

    - Masters level degree

     

    - Significant teaching experience at the College/School level in the field or in a related field

     

    - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

     

    - Ability to establish effective working relationships

    Preferred qualifications:

    - Teaching experience at an academic institution

     

    - Experience building industry/clinical relationships
