    Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the IT department supporting various technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of risk management, which will align successfully in the organization.

    Job Title:** **Senior Project Manager with** ( **capital markets or investment banking operations)

    **Location:** Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)

    **Position type:** 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Lead and manage end-to-end IT project delivery involving third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, budget, and regulatory expectations.

    + Collaborate directly with the Procurement team to support contract negotiation, onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing vendor governance.

    + Partner with the Investment Banking Front Line Unit to understand business needs and deliver secure, compliant solutions that align with front-line objectives.

    + Conduct vendor risk assessments in partnership with Information Security and Information Risk Management teams.

    + Prepare and present risk and project updates to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + 5+ years of IT project management experience within a regulated banking environment, ideally supporting capital markets or investment banking operations.

    + Strong understanding of third-party risk, information security, and vendor governance.

    + Proficiency in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables) and Jira (project tracking, reporting).

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and regulators.

    + PMP, SM, or related certifications preferred.
