Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support organizational decision-making. Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Assist in creating and monitoring budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards while maintaining well-organized records.
• Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial workflows.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure timely reporting.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to streamline operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and relevant financial regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing workload.
• Familiarity with the real estate or mortgage industry is a plus.
