Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This Contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting. The role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and analyze manufacturing costs to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.

• Maintain and update standard cost systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Perform detailed cost analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency and achieve financial targets.

• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on cost trends and operational performance.

• Monitor inventory costs and ensure alignment with company standards.

• Support audits by providing detailed cost data and documentation.

• Develop and implement cost control measures to improve profitability.

• Provide expert advice on cost accounting principles and practices.

• Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and standard cost systems.

• Proven expertise in cost analysis and financial reporting.

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in cost accounting.
