Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Fountain Valley, California. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor communications. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

• Communicate with internal departments to obtain proper documentation and approvals for payments.

• Process payment requests through various methods, including online systems and checks.

• Verify and collect banking details from vendors to maintain accurate records.

• Maintain organized accounts payable files and assist in transitioning to a paperless system.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues in a timely manner.

• Accurately categorize expenses and input data into the accounting system with a high degree of precision.

• Post basic journal entries and reconcile selected balance sheet accounts as needed.

• Collect and manage W9 information for vendors and contractors.

• Process weekly payments for independent contractors and assist with additional projects, including payroll support for line haul drivers. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, demonstrating progressive responsibilities.

• Familiarity with accounting principles and the ability to post basic journal entries.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, such as Sage 100.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.

• Basic accounting coursework or equivalent experience.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

• Ability to read and interpret contracts, quotes, and other financial documents.
