    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the repair and maintenance of all plant equipment. You will be responsible for adhering to standard methods and procedures, establishing precedents in work performance, and maintaining equipment in optimal condition.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain plant equipment in a running condition and complete assigned tasks as needed.

    + Collaborate with quality assurance and sanitation departments to meet operational needs.

    + Conduct constant walk-throughs of the area, shutting down lines as necessary and interpreting company policies and safety regulations.

    + Analyze and resolve work problems, assisting others in solving mechanical issues.

    + Coordinate scheduling with personnel to ensure equipment functions efficiently.

    + Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in maintenance and repair of equipment.

    + Proficiency in preventive maintenance and mechanical operations.

    + Knowledge of refrigeration systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and frequently carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

    + Capability to stand and walk for up to 3 hours prior to each break period.

    + Skills in climbing, balancing, reaching, handling, and seeing.

    + Ability to twist, turn, stoop, and kneel as required.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment consists of concrete and metal platforms with varying temperatures, humidity levels, moderate chemical exposure, dust, and fumes. Hearing protection is required due to noise levels.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moses Lake, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
