Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Facilites Technician, where you will work in a dynamic and self-directed environment. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment. Your role involves operating machinery and performing preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and efficiency of equipment such as vehicle hoists, air compressors, pumps, and HVAC systems. Compliance with all environmental, HazMat, and safety requirements is essential.
Responsibilities
+ HVAC repairs and maintenance
+ Start up, regulate, repair, and shut down equipment to ensure safe and economic operation.
+ Monitor meters, gauges, and computerized controls to keep equipment within established limits.
+ Perform manual control adjustments using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
+ Log relevant operational and maintenance events in an equipment log.
+ Conduct routine preventive maintenance and identify potential mechanical problems.
+ Check and correct safety devices and perform routine maintenance tasks like lubricating parts, replacing filters, and removing corrosion.
+ Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including compressors, vacuum pumps, and chillers.
+ Manage facility components and equipment, including HVAC, filters, belts, and other parts efficiently.
+ Develop strong customer service relationships and solve facility-related problems.
+ Conduct daily safety and comfort activities for facility occupants.
+ Report equipment failures and contractor needs to the Facility Manager.
+ Execute preventive maintenance programs to protect and extend the life of facility components.
+ Maintain on-call status for immediate action on critical systems failure.
+ Keep updated on maintenance improvements and legal regulations.
+ Supervise subcontractors and assist in updating project status reports.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting and maintenance technician skills.
+ Mechanical and preventive maintenance expertise.
+ HVAC system knowledge.
+ PLC, compressor, and electrical skills.
+ Plumbing and facilities maintenance experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or approved GED required; a degree in a technical field is a plus.
+ Minimum of 2 years full-time experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Facilities Technician.
+ Basic plumbing, and pipe fitting skills.
+ Knowledge of motor control systems and electrical equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
