    Title: Product Owner

     

    The Product Owner works with and establishes solid relationships with their agile software development team, Internet Business Managers/Directors, Business Managers, and Mouser Executives. For all assigned projects and assignments, Product Owners will analyze stakeholder requirements, contribute to functional design, document user stories and requirements. Additionally, Product Owners are responsible for development team backlog management and maintaining clear, timely communications with all interested parties.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Collaborate with developers, product managers, project managers, quality assurance, business teams and technical support to provide a mix of business and technical direction on systems, design, development, testing and deployment. Learn stakeholder strategy, tactical approaches, priorities, requirements, and business process. Document business requirements and user stories, oversee and coordinate the development of technical specifications, and help enforce change control procedures. Must take initiative to spend time with all levels of users (formal meetings, informal meetings, observing work, etc.). Develop a strong Mouser business acumen and use it with each assignment. Understand basic agile software development methodology processes. Document basic business needs, user requirements and/or user stories. Participate in functional design process. Oversee development team backlog. Establish open and timely communications with interested parties, stakeholders and teams. Develop and maintain all project documentation for all assigned projects. Must be seen as an advocate for the customers/users. Represents the company and Internet Business in a professional manner. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external contacts. Team player. Expected to utilize organizational skills to document, categorize, prioritize, provide easy access to information, ask questions, follow up, and maintain communications. Detailed and thorough in work habits with multi-tasking ability.

    SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

    General understanding of project management tools, software development lifecycle, and problem solving. Ability to work on an agile software development team. Produce documentation including mockups, flowcharts and other process diagrams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong organizational skills. Strong ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style. Demonstrates a positive attitude toward self and others. Ability to set and track goals. PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Project, Outlook and other software. Able to use, read, analyze and interpret spreadsheets and printed reports. Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and teaching skills. Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Including the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

     

    Title: Senior Product Owner

    ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Sought out by others as subject matter expert covering broad value areas within the Mouser enterprise. Expert leadership skills in driving the agile software development team to successful delivery of projects and initiatives. Contributing partner to the product roadmap, suggesting strategic goals and initiatives for assigned domain through industry knowledge of leading practices. Recognized as a change agent by all levels of the organization, supporting continuous improvements to further skills and product ownership practices, including individual development, as well as other team members.

    SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

    Expert with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle and problem solving. Expert ability to produce documentation including mockups, flowcharts and other process diagrams. Expert in managing multiple projects and priorities. Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Demonstrates and encourages others to have a positive attitude toward self and others. Consistently sets and track goals proactively. Expert ability to tailor verbal and non-verbal communication skills to intended audience, including people at all levels. Product Owner certification recommended.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline Requires 6+ years’ experience as a software development business analyst, product owner, or equivalent position Requires 2+ years with ecommerce environments (min 1 year of B2B experience required)
