You will play a critical role in building and maintaining Omnicell’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across our product suite. This includes creating and managing design tokens, defining reusable components, and documenting usage guidelines. Your close collaboration with front-end developers will ensure seamless implementation of the design system, bridging the gap between design and development. Your expertise in design systems will help drive efficiency, maintain visual consistency, and support the rapid evolution of our product offerings.

Requirements
+ 7+ years of experience, specifically within product design teams.
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
+ Your portfolio showcases work that highlights your ability to drive impactful outcomes through design.
+ You excel at balancing high-level vision with tactical execution, guiding your teams to prioritize learning and innovation alongside delivery.
+ You have a proven ability to navigate complex systems and applications.
+ Extensive experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
+ Proficiency with design tokens, component libraries, and documentation.
+ Expert knowledge of Figma (particularly variable modes and auto-layout).
+ Working knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (we use Angular).
Responsibilities of a Senior Product Designer in Health Tech
As a Senior Product Designer - Design Systems, you will be at the forefront of transforming the health tech industry, playing a pivotal role in shaping our suite of applications. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Lead the evolution, and governance of Omnicell’s design system.
+ Define and manage design tokens and reusable components.
+ Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation.
+ Audit and refactor UI components for consistency and accessibility.
+ Advocate for and support design system adoption across teams.
+ Evolve and contribute to visual systems, showcasing your expertise in typography, UI design for desktop and mobile, color theory, layout, and iconography.
+ Actively communicate and influence strategic decisions regarding the direction of Omnicell's products, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers and product managers, overseeing the design system, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
+ After reviewing and approving components, you will be responsible for assisting designers to create comprehensive design specifications that are meticulously annotated, providing clarity to engineers during the development phase.
+ Address implementation questions from the engineering team and resolve edge cases that may arise during development, ensuring the successful translation of design components into functional, user-centric applications.

+ Design system documentation covering components, tokens, and usage guidelines.
+ Contribute to our robust, scalable component library in Figma.
+ Managed design tokens for visual consistency across platforms.
+ Regular audits of product applications to ensure alignment with the design system.
+ Ensure all features prior to being handed off to engineering have been reviewed for correct usage of design tokens and components, aligning with the approved design specifications.
+ Assist in the delivery comprehensive design specs with detailed annotations, ensuring engineers have the clarity they need for implementation.
+ Share your work on a weekly basis with the design team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
+ Engage in giving and receiving feedback both verbally and in writing, nurturing a supportive environment for growth and innovation.
